Aboutme
Building for the web, end to end.
Hi, I'm Marco! I'm a Fullstack Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience building scalable, high-performance web applications with TypeScript, React and Node.js. I've worked across small SaaS startups, enterprise projects and high-traffic e-commerce, and I enjoy engaging in the whole product lifecycle, from the first prototype to launch.
Lately, I'm specializing in Agentic Engineering and AI Coding thorugh harnesses like Claude Code, and building AI-powered applications through LLM APIs like Claude.
Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, I learned through a mixture of hands-on coding and a strong STEM foundation that still shapes how I work. I strongly believe that the strongest lever in software development lies in the structured application of engineering practices, processes and principles, and I strive to apply them in every project I work on.

Fullstack Engineer · Form Factory
Headless e-commerce · US brands
What I do
- Building headless storefronts and maintaining features for leading US brands
- Working as a forward deployed engineer, reporting to the merchant staff
- Planning around seasonal demand: ship, validate, harden, discover
Impact
- Led a performance program that took Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals from poor to production standards
- Rebuilt the Customer Hub for a major clothing brand: loyalty provider, account, orders and support
- Rebuilt the Product Detail Page for that same brand: optimized markup and components, media assets, raised Add-to-Cart perceived speed, pushed Lighhouse scores by 20+ points

Disaster prevention · Mobile app
What I do
- Developed a climate-monitoring mobile app with Ionic and its Java REST API
- Scalable monitoring network with weather stations and sensors
Impact
- Published the app on the Google Play Store
- Earned a project registration certificate
Academic projects
- 2017 – 2020
Junior Project Manager & Engineer · Serra Jr. Engenharia
I joined our university junior company, where, under the mentorship of experienced staff and Ph.D. professors, I managed backlogs, gathered client requirements and led the delivery of web applications using Angular, PHP and JavaScript. It was also where I designed an industrial IoT solution with Arduino and C++ to automate temperature control in production, the first time my love for electronics could be put to use.
Education
- 2016 – 2021
B.Sc. in Computer Engineering · Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ)
The basic engineering cycle gave me a really strong STEM foundation, with calculus, physics, differential equations, numerical simulation and linear algebra. The computer science cycle then covered algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, databases, networks and state machines, plus machine learning concepts like regression models, perceptrons, neural networks and techniques such as SVD, QR decomposition and PCA. Constant exchange with students and Ph.D. researchers, and meetups ranging from sociophysics to black holes, made it an even richer experience.
- 2014
Technical course in Programming · ETEC, São Paulo
One of the leading technical schools in Brazil. I trained as a Programming Assistant and learned the basics of system analysis, SQL databases, web development with JavaScript and PHP, and desktop software with Java and C#. The coursework was demanding, with 6-month modules, patience and overnight debugging, and it sealed my decision to join IT.
Through this blog, I share what I learn along the way. Want to chat?Get in touch or read thefull story.
